Hooray! 1,000 people have checked out this ol' page of mine. For those of you who think my work is kinda cool, good news! I got a camera for my birthday (thanks Mom and Dad!), so I'll be able to put up pics of some of new work from this year the next time I'm home. Look for it April!

True, a mount of everything would be super expensive! I like observing skulls for reference (I have one coyote and one lynx skull, so a cat and a dog-like reference), then using my own pets/anatomy books to build up the muscles. Then I either look at my pets or refer to faces of various animals (I have a fox face from a full pelt, but I also find on occasion things like a bobcat face that came from a local trading post...not sure why it was just a face  )for a fur reference. it works, but would be much easier if I just had a mount. Like for you though, it is simply too expensive :/

That's very interesting about the possum. I thought it looked particularly soft. I'll have to look into that. Does that variation have a specific name?

Hey, I was just looking over Joey's pictures and saw that you had written rip the day he passed away. I was wondering how you knew him, a friend from home, college or what? I grew up with him, really haven't known a day without him. Peace.
